103rd Anniversary Celebration! This car cruise “re-races” the tire tracks of the 1909 Cobe Cup Race which is believed to be Indiana’s first major car race, pre-dating the Indianapolis 500.

Pre-1985 era cars, trucks and motorcycles and all year’s Corvettes are allowed. There will be refreshments, music and door prizes at the Fairgrounds. The cruise will begin at 1 p.m. and travel through Cedar Lake, and continue to Lowell, heading east to Buckley Homestead County Park. The cruise will then head back through downtown Lowell, where it will conclude at the American Legion Post 101 on East Commercial Avenue at approximately 2:00 p.m. Trophies will be awarded and participants can enjoy food and music until 4:00 p.m.

They are hosting an old-fashioned street celebration around the Old Lake County Courthouse Lawn and Square, featuring great food, a beer garden, live music, games for the kids, and of course delicious roasted corn courtesy of the Southlake Shriners.

The Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Dollie Parade. Children are invited to bring their best dressed dolls, stuffed anilmals and carriages down to the Square and parade around the sidewalk.

This event is free of charge and children will receive ribbons, candy and balloons.

Join the Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce at the Taste of the Region and Arts & Crafts Festival at the Square in downtown Crown Point.

New this year, we are combining two long time events into one fun-filled weekend. The 38th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival will join the popular food festival, the Taste of the Region.

Over 80 Arts & Crafters will take over the lawn of the Old Lake County Courthouse in downtown Crown Point, while over 40 restaurants and caterers will serve up their specialties on the surrounding streets. A kids area, live musical entertainment & a beer garden are all part of the fun.
