Do-It-Yourself framing

Jim says, "I love framing my own art at The Framer's Workshop. It's homey, fun, economical, and supportive. Every time I leave the shop, I drive back to San Francisco with a beautifully framed art work and an open-hearted experience."

--Jim Fishman, psychotherapist & self-trained artist from San Francisco.

30th Anniversary Party!

posted by framers on Jun 19th, 2007 at 4:20 pm

Framers' Workshop 30th Anniversary Party Kirsty cutting cakeNews flash! We held our 30th Anniversary Party at the shop last week with a huge turnout. Guests enjoyed food and drink, a raffle for 12 of our beautiful new anniversary prints, “The Berkeley Rose Garden,” by Yoshiko Yamamoto, and birthday cake to finish off the evening.

Sarah and Lisa ran the the Wizard computerized mat cutting demonstration throughout the night. We thought that we might cut a few name mats for any children who attended, and we did, but we cut dozens for adults who liked them equally well!

Local Support: The delicious food and drink all came from local merchants who did a terrific job of supplying us with plenty to eat and drink! Appetizer platters came from Rick and Ann's, La Mediterranee, and Cheese n' Stuff. Arlington Wine & Spirits provided the wine. And our beautiful birthday cake was from Toots Sweets! Piedmont Party Rentals delivered party rentals. Thanks everyone!
