Antique Picture Rail Hooks & Cords Back in Stock!

Picture Rail Hooks

Arts and crafts picture rail hookSo many of  you have come in for these that we quickly ran out of many styles. We now have them again, including a new style, the Arts and Crafts heavy duty Craftsman picture rail hook, which is ideal for heavier items. This beautiful hook comes in several finishes, including antique brass, pictured here.

How to use picture rail hooks:

We recommend picture hanging cord, which we stock, to attach your framed item to the hooks. The cord covers a strong wire center. Chain can also be used, but ideally fishing line should not be used. Fishing line can eventually stretch and break, especially when it is supporting heavy items like large frames. We also advise using two hooks in all situations, especially in earthquake prone areas. We invite you to come in to The Framer's Workshop in Berkeley CA  and we'll show you the best way to attach the cord to your picture rail hooks.
